Hi!
I am so excited to finally be able to start blogging, and I wanted to make my first blog post an introduction to all of my readers. My name is Autumn - and you can read below all you need to know about me and my passion for photography.
Who is behind the camera?
I introduced myself in the above section, but here are some more things about me that can let everyone get to know who the person is behind the camera. I'm Autumn, I'm 23 years old and I recently moved to Franklin, WV where I live with my boyfriend and 2 of my closest friends. A lot of people who have been to sessions have met them, they often tag along as assistants and support me daily behind the scenes of the business!
Recently, I've been spending most of my time moving my business to a new state. I am still only an hour from Harrisonburg and will always continue to serve the Shenandoah Valley, but I am excited to get to know new customers in Franklin and to be able to capture the beauty of wild and wonderful West Virginia.
When I'm not taking pictures, I spend most of my time with friends and family.
I have 5 younger brothers and they keep me very busy cheering them on from the sidelines during the games of the multiple sports they play.
I enjoy reading, mostly fantasy and historical fiction but there are few books I won't pick up and dive into. I also love expressing my artistic side in ways other than photography. My hair is constantly changing colors, and I get new tattoos as often as my bank account will let me. I make friendship bracelets and dreamcatchers, but I can't draw in a straight line - that talent was never meant for me!
Mostly, I live for adventure. I am the type of person who can find adventure in anything, from a cross country road trip to an across town trip to the grocery store. As long as I am experiencing things with the people I love, I'm happy! Just this summer I went on a cross country trip with my best friend and co photographer Kaity. We visited 16 states in 7 days and I was able to cross off the #1 item on my bucket list - to visit Missoula, Montana.
What will this blog be used for?
You can find my prices and examples of all of my work on my website, but I wanted to create something my customers and followers can read that tell you more about what it's like to work with Amaze Photography.
I won't be blogging every photo shoot on this page, but I will be focusing on the two main things I photograph - seniors and weddings. You can visit the blog every Sunday to see a spotlight on one of the seniors I have photographed. For the beginning, I'll be catching up on the Class of 2021 seniors, but in the future I will be posting weekly about the most recent seniors I have photographed.
I may not have a senior every week to add to the blog, so on the weeks that I do not, I'll be filling in with blogs about the weddings Kaity and I shoot, and also with any mini session events I may be holding in the near future or have held recently.
