Jessi - PCMHS Class of 2021

Updated: May 26, 2021

Happy Sunday and it's the first Sunday in May! This is the month where I do my cap and gown mini sessions, so I will have plenty of senior sessions to share on the blog. I'm so excited! Today I'm sharing Jessi's senior spotlight. Jessi and I have been close friends for quite some time and have grown even close since she started dating my best friend. We waited all year to finally find a perfect time to do her senior photos and it finally came!

Picture Perfect - Every Step of the Way

I love being involved in every step of the senior portrait process, and I got this opportunity completely when doing Jessi's photos. We planned a trip together to Charleston for Jessi's 18th birthday and decided that it would be a great time to do her senior photos as well! We've been working on getting the planned since the fall, but Jessi hadn't found her ideal location or outfits yet and we both wanted to make sure everything would work out to ensure she got photos she loved.

Right before we left we went on a shopping trip to pick Jessi's outfits. She has such a broad sense of fashion and that made it so simple to get wonderful outfits! Plus she has the amazing ability of making converse look perfect with literally any outfit, she wore them for all of her photos except for the ones on the beach (where we got to kick off our shoes and go barefoot by the water.) She ended up with 2 gorgeous dresses and an urban style outfit of shorts and a kimono for our photos on Rainbow Row. Each one went perfectly with the location and Jessi's style! Rows of flowers and rainbow buildings plus the sunrise on the beach offered the best backgrounds we could have asked for for photos, and some little alleys and spots on the side of the road turned out to be treasures for our session.

Rainbow Row was our last stop for photos last Sunday

morning, and probably gave my favorite results as well. It was right after sunrise and the weather was gorgeous so we had sunlight shining through palm trees and lighting up the buildings as we worked. After waiting and planning with Jessi for so long to do these photos, it was an amazing feeling to get them done and also be extremely happy with the results! Jessi also gets to be around during post processing so she can keep up with me as I edit her photos, which is great company and fun as well!

The beginning of May means that soon will be the end of my Class of 2021 senior spotlights and the beginning of the Class of 2022 senior spotlights. Yesterday I had the very hard job of selecting my Class of 2022 ambassador program, I had SO many amazing applicants and couldn't choose everyone, but am confident that I selected amazing girls that will be a perfect fit on my team for next year! I've begun booking sessions for next years seniors already as I finish up sessions with this years seniors at well, and all of it brings me so much joy knowing that I have another great year ahead of me with my #AmazeSeniors! Thanks for reading today and have an amazing week!
