Will I need to sign a contract?

Yes, contracts are required for all sessions, for your protection and mine, just in case something was to happen as far as cancellations, weather issues, loss of photos. Your contract will be emailed at the time of scheduling, and it can be signed digitally.

Can I sign the contract if I am under 18?

You are more than welcome to sign the contract, but I will also need a parent or legal guardian to sign also, as the contract has to be signed by someone over the age of 18 to be legally binding. 

Do you travel outside of Rockingham County?

Absolutely! I will travel anywhere outside of Rockingham County, but any distance more than 45 miles from Elkton, where I reside, is an extra $10 per 25 miles. 


How long does it take to get my photos?

Most sessions take up to 4 weeks to be delivered, but during my "busy season" September-November, it is possible for sessions to take up to 6 weeks to be edited.


Will I get previews?

I try to deliver previews to all of my clients, but I do not guarantee them, as sometimes I am unable to deliver them due to my schedule. 


Do you require a retainer fee?

Yes, a non-refundable retainer fee is due at the time of scheduling and contract signing. The retainer fee is 30% of all sessions.


When is the rest of the payment due?

The full payment amount is due up front at your session.

What types of payment do you accept?

When signing your contract it will prompt you to pay with debit/credit card, but I also accept cash payments and most moeny transfer apps (i.e. Paypal, Venmo, CashApp)


What happens if I have to cancel or reschedule?

If the session has to be cancelled, you will lose your non-refundable retainer. If the session has to be rescheduled, the retainer will carry over to the rescheduled date. Sessions can be rescheduled two times, unless the reason for rescheduling is weather or any reason on my part, as those are out of your control. In the event of a session being rescheduled, I will try to get you in for the closest available date. 


Do you keep my session forever? What happens if I lose my photos down the road?

I try to keep my sessions forever, but if my computer was to be destroyed or compromised, the sessions can be lost. If you lost your session and need it back, just message me and I will let you know if I am able to get it back to you. 


Where should I get my photos printed?

Since I do not print the photos myself, where you get them printed is completely up to you. My professional opinion is to get them printed from mpix.com, as they are a professional lab.

Who should I/can I bring to my session?

You are more than welcome to bring people to your session. If you are doing a family session with small children, I suggest to bring someone close to the children that they will be familiar with, to help make them smile and laugh. Seniors are suggested to bring someone also, as senior sessions can be more lengthy than other sessions, and an additional person can be very helpful. 


Will I receive my RAW/unedited files?

You will not. I do not give out raw/unedited files because I put a lot of my time and my own personal artistic touch into my photos, and I prefer anything posted/shown to others to reflect my work.


What do I do if I am having trouble picking my location(s)?

If you are having trouble deciding location(s), my first suggestion is to take a look at my website or social media sites to view the locations on there and pick your favorites, and then I can help you narrow them down from there. If you have done that and cannot find anything, send me a message and I will be happy to help!


Can my pet(s) be in my photos?

If you have pets and don't bring them, I will be very upset. I love all animals and they are always welcome at sessions! I have worked with dogs, cats, horses, and even cows in the past.


Do you offer videography?

I do not offer videography services. 


Can we do these Pinterest photos?

I will admit to being a total Pinterest addict. My boyfriend is probably quite tired of eating out of mason jars and coming home to find ribbon scattered throughout the house from my latest project. If you see something you like on Pinterest, I would be happy to try and create that into something of your own. You aren't a carbon copy of anyone and I don't want my photos to be a carbon copy of anyone else's, but I do take inspiration from many of the fantastic photos on Pinterest when asked by a client.


You can just photoshop that out, right?

As much as I would love to photoshop a real t-rex into your son's first birthday photos, I am far from the photoshop guru many clients believe me to be. My editing style is very natural and simplistic, I am able to fix things like stray hairs, but I am unable to photoshop phones out of children's hands. My general request is just that you always ask, never assume, and I will always be honest with you about my abilities!
